It was a good sports weekend for The Monster’s favorite teams. UNC of course beat Georgia Southern in a game I attended for about 5 minutes. Only game of the year I get to go to, and of course I get real sick and have to leave (and not even sick from drinking, I didn’t even drink!!!). At least I saw 2 touchdowns in the like 7 minutes of gametime I was there, haha.
But, the Vikings clobbered the Rams yesterday to go 5-0. Big game against the Ravens next week. Here are some highlights from the Vikes game, including the Jaren Allen 60 yard fumble return for TD:
The Dodgers swept the Cardinals in a NLDS that nearly everyone under the sun picked the Cardinals to win. Vincinte Padilla was magnificent in 7 innings in the clincher. Andre Ethier also big balled hard. Whenever I bet on my teams (The Vikings being the one exception), my teams always lose. That’s why I never bet on the Heels. I lost 2 series bets during regular season to Big Soda (he’s a big Cards fan, and they won 5 of 7 during the year). Costed me 2 dinners. I purposefully didn’t bring up a 3rd bet for the NLDS, and this victory was certainly as sweet as I’m sure those 2 dinners were for Sodes. Check out some info and Torre and Either speaking below:
