Q-Tip, Prince, DJ Scratch LIVE

The Abstract live on stage.

I said it once, and I’m gonna say it 1000000 times. GO GET TIP’S NEW CD “THE RENAISSANCE”……NOW, mofo!

What is wrong with people?!?!?!

The Monster is a little heated this morning after reading this article on SOHH.com . It’s kind of a sales wrap up on hip hop winners and losers this year. As far as the winners go, no real big surprises. Everyone knows that Usher, T.I., Lil Wayne, and Beyonce had big sales numbers this year. What made me heated was who was listed in the “losers category”.

Can someone please tell me how a rapper like Plies can go gold easily, but how an EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT album like Q-Tip’s new “The Renaissance” can only have sold 79,700 copies???

If you are a real hip hop fan and THAT doesn’t get you riled up, how about Nas’ joint this year, which to date has only sold 407,100 copies and hasn’t even gone gold yet.

If you haven’t bought either of these albums, go get the BOTH. TODAY. Or know that you are hurting the probability that these artists will be able to continue to release albums.

Kooley High blowing up the spot
