Five For Friday : Ugly 1990′s NBA Uniforms

The homie Big Soda and I were talking last night about how there was this period in the 90′s where a few NBA teams tried to go with new uniforms that were just heinous looking. Here are 5 to remember.

1994 Denver Nuggets

First off, these things look like they were screenprinted at Johnson-Lambe. Secondly, the “almost navy” with the “almost dookie brown”….with a tinge of “barf-yellow”…..eek.

1996 Atlanta Hawks

If you get your jersey baggy enough, the hawk holds your balls!

1997 Cleveland Cavs

Wait, what color are the Cavs again?

1996 Sonics (Alternate)

Not even a huge Sonics/Payton fan like myself can defend this…

1998 Detroit Pistons

Can’t you see the guy at the board meeting: “I’ve got it…..flaming horse head. YES! FLAMING. HORSE. HEAD”

Lost Boyz – Me and My Crazy World

There was a point in time when this song was my jam.

Dave Attell on Pawn Stars

From his “Insomniac” show…..before these guys had their own Pawn Stars show. Pretty cool.

Barry Sanders – Retired in 1999 on Today

On this day in 1999, the greatest running back of all time retired from the game. Respect.

This Week’s : Clown or Regular Dude : I Miss You Megan Edition

Let’s do something a little more interesting this week. This guy is obviously a clown, so no vote needed. The real question is…..Did she take him back?

The Monster’s Guess: Absolutely. Why? Because if she went out with someone who would do this in the first place, she’s probably the type of girl who ate this shit up.

Snoop Doggy Dogg – “Murder Was The Case” Live at 1994 VMAs

In my humble opinion, the best VMA performance of all time.

John Henson 2010-2011 Highlight Video

Girls Summertime FAIL Compilation

Girls. Summer. FAILS. Great combo.

Where You At Wednesday : The Proclaimers

1988 saw the release on “Sunshine on Leith” containing the hit song above, “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).”  It was a huge hit for the Proclaimers, who are made up of twins Charlie and Craig Reid. While the above song was their only hit, I actually just found out whilst researching this, that they are still making albums today! Their last release was “Notes & Rhymes” which still charted top 30 in the UK, though they haven’t charted in the US since their hit. The next studio album is expected in 2012.

Not the most exciting “Where You At Wednesday,” but it’s cool to know they are still making music.

Vince Carter – LIGHTS OUT

Sick short NBA film on the greatest dunker of all time.
