We’ve done a few of these before, but shout out to reader Watts who noticed a few of these “Big Bang Theory” castmates showing up in other Where You At Wednesday posts. So, at his request, let’s reverse this ish and see where these cats were BEFORE “Big Bang Theory” hit the airwaves!
Johnny Galecki as Leonard
Previous biggest role was David Healy on “Roseanne” (which the Monster contends is the worst show to ever be on television….no offense Johnny)
Jim Parsons as Sheldon
After checking the resume, his previous most impressive role in my opinion was Tim in “Garden State.”
Kaley Cuoco as Penny
As noted on a previous “Where You At Wednesday,” Cuoco was a star on “8 Simple Rules.”
Simon Helberg as Howard
Tough call here, but probably going to have to go with the 5 episodes he did of “MadTV”
Kunal Nayyar as Rajesh
Only real role prior to the show was one episode of “NCIS”
*** As readers noticed previously, minor characters Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler) is from “Blossom” and Sara Gilbert (Leslie Winkle) is also from “Roseanne”

Also, the show’s creator / producer / Charlie Sheen arch-nemesis Chuck Lorre was a writer on Roseanne, hence the connections to that show.
Also of note: according to his Wikipedia page, Lorre composed the the soundtrack to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV show.
@Watts I think we can then all agree that the theme song was his best work.
I love the Big Bang Theory! Very good WY@W! The Monster will have to watch some of these episodes with me sometime
Sheldon is hands down one of my favorite characters. He’s so strange and odd but funny at the same time
Amy Farrah Fowler comes in as a close second.
TMNT theme song was awesome.
Any post with photos of Kayley is a good one!
I LOVE this show. Totally agree with the Lorre’s best work being the theme song. Other minor characters that you forgot::Sheldon’s mom is played by Laurie Metcalf aka Aunt Jackie from Roseanne (and a bajillion other things). And Howard’s adorable gf/fiance Bernadette is played by Melissa Rauch…who is on True Blood and graced the small screen on VH1′s Best Week Ever! (I miss that show)
I am now not positive where you are getting your information, however good topic. I must spend some time learning more or understanding more. Thank you for magnificent information I was looking for this info for my mission.
