Monday Kick(s) Off : 2010 v 2011

This week, the first release colorways of the Jordan 2010 and Jordan 2011 face off. People really slammed the 2010′s for the windows, but I have to say (I own the all black joints), that I really enjoy playing with them on-court. People have also been slamming the 2011s, but we will see if they come around.

The Monster’s Vote: In all honesty, I like the 2011s and think they have potential for an on-court shoe more than a fashion shoe. I won’t be paying the $170 for first release or whatever, because they always come down and then push out several colorways, but I do intend on copping at some point.

Five For Friday : Questions I’d Ask John Henson

 

You know me, and you know this blog. I’m a diehard Heels fan and alum, so you know I got love for John Henson. Whether it’s the Shaq-diesel like dunks (which, why in the world are there not more on YouTube? He’s had some nasty nasty throwdowns this year), or the nasty blocks, Henson has got a great career as a Heel and an NBA player ahead of him. If I could ask him just 5 questions, this is what they would be:

1. Would you rather make a game-winning dunk, or a game-saving block?

Sidenote: That dunk off the inbounds before halftime against Evansville shoulda counted!

2. What’s the best on-court shoe you’ve played in at UNC?

Sidenote: We’ve seen Henson rock some heat, like the Silver Anniversary Jordan 2010′s and The Air Jordan XIII Flints (one of my favorite J’s).

3. What’s in your iPod right now?

Sidenote: I have no idea what his answer would be. I would expect some gangster shit to get hype for a game, and some smooth shit for relaxing after a win. For some reason, I bet Henson listens to Luther Vandross.

4. Rasheed Wallace or Antawn Jamison?

Sidenote: Always love asking Heels fans this one. Some go for the stats (and the jersey in the rafters) with Jamison. Other’s can’t not pick Sheed for the personality.

5. If John Henson wasn’t a basketball player, he’d be a ________.

Sidenote: Not really a question, but you get it.
