The Monster’s Vote: I’m all for ping pong. It’s great. But as a TV sport? It blows. I couldn’t even see the ball on like 8 of these vids. Going to have to go “CLOWN” here, but only slightly.
The Monster Blog’s own REDFLY has been working on a dope project lately. I’ll let her talk about it, as she explains it best!
“PAID IN FULL” is a curriculum that we’ve crafted to teach kids about jobs in the music industry and more specifically how to plan, promote and put on a live show.
As the kids’ final project, we will be throwing a live show on December 5th at Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY. The lineup will feature DJ P.U.D.G.E., GRAMZ, Kooley High, Che Grand and special guests. We’ll have a dance contest, bake sale, emcee battle and more that will make for a back-to-the-basics hip hop show that the students have worked very hard to produce.
This has been an absolutely wonderful experience for me and hopefully for the kids as well and I’d really appreciate your support for this event and for the cause which is giving underprivileged kids real world experience in an industry that they want to work in one day. (whew!)
