Those that know me personally would (hopefully) say I’m a pretty easy-going cat. However, that’s not to say I’m perfect or don’t get agitated sometimes. Occasionally someone will ask me what my biggest “pet peeve” is, and I usually give the same answer (the first thing I’ll discuss in a bit), but, like everyone I have several. I’ll discuss a few of them after the jump, but I’m always curious of other people’s pet peeves as well. I’m not talking about “being lied too” or something that obviously would tick anybody off. What are those pet peeves for you that wouldn’t be a pet peeve of others? Those are the ones I’m talking about today…..This post is going to make me sound like a grumpy old man…
Walking Slow In the Mall
This is usually what I claim as my number one pet peeve. People who walk slow in the mall drive me NUTSO. There is nothing more agitating that getting behind 2 or 3 people in the mall who look like they are having a competition to see how slow they can walk, and how much of the aisle they can take up. Okay, okay, I understand that you are at the mall to browse and window shop and all that jazz. But guess what? I know exactly what I’m there for, exactly where it is, and I’ve got other shit I need to get done today. So if you want to walk slow, that’s you’re choice, but I shouldn’t have to suffer because of it. If I’m obviously trying to get around you, get outta my way!!!
No Courtesy Wave
I live by the Golden Rule. I treat people how I would like to be treated. When someone lets me in on the highway, or lets me go first at a 4-way-stop, I give them a wave. It’s only common courtesy. So when I let someone in on the highway, I expect the same in return. I shouldn’t have to explain this one, it’s COMMON courtesy. Unfortunately, it’s not so common. I let 3 people in in the past 2 days. 1 courtesy wave. Ridiculous. If you don’t do this, it makes it look like you believe you were “entitled” to get in front of me. CLOWN.
Running Late? Let a player know!
I realize not everyone has the anti-procrastination disease I have, and I realize not everyone hates being late as much as me. All I ask is that, if you are going to be more than 20 minutes late, let me know. I can tolerate lateness when I know it’s coming. If I’m sitting somewhere by myself for 30 minutes and just wondering where you are at, I’m going to get frusturated.
Asking Too Many Questions
Asking too many questions usually means you haven’t done anything to try to answer the question on your own. Asking the same question over and over means you aren’t listening to the answer. Rephrasing your question means you are trying to get a different answer, which if it’s the same question basically, you aren’t getting. None of these is good.
***What are some of your pet peeves???***

i hate it when people take the trash out, and don’t replace the bag in the can. That’s just gonna cause someone grief the next time something needs to be thrown away; they’ll be left with trash in their hand they wish to throw away, having to put their trash down, get a bag, put it in the can correctly, pick up their trash and throw it away.
Another pet peeve of mine is not being re-greeted properly. Like if you run into someone – just an acquaintance; doesn’t even have to be a friend – and say ‘hey there, how goes it’ or ‘hey, how ya doing’ … something like that; and their response is just ‘fine thanks’ or ‘hey.’ … that annoys me.
For me, I always strive to be equally, if not more, gracious in my reply. Like if someone stops me and says ‘hey there, how goes it’ I would say ‘fine, thanks! how’s your day?’ or ‘hey! im well, thanks – and yourself?’
From my POV, if someone inquires about your day – you owe it to them to inquire about theirs, too.
PS – What is Big Soda’s dad doing dressed up as the Riddler?
hahahaha
serious pet peeve, people who make a mistake/wrong decision while driving and hold up traffic because of it. Example: Person A, is driving down road that has a turn lane and main thoroughfare. The turning lane at the intersection has left turn light and the thoroughfare has a light, after Person A pulls up to the light they realize they needed to turn left not go straight. When the light turns green for the main thoroughfare they just sit there holding up traffic preventing people from being able to go through the light. Just as frustrating if there are multiple lanes especially if it is a busy road. seriously WTF.
I also can not comprehend how you can miss the trash/ or something falls because of a direct action by the person and they do not pick up their trash. For Example: Person A is in the bathroom washes their hands, gets a paper towel out misses trash can and walks out of the bathroom. Example 2: Person B also in the bathroom gets a paper towel after washing their hands some extra pieces of paper towel falls off because an extra little piecse of the next paper towel is torn and falls, and doesn’t pick it up. It is not the cleaning person’s role to pick up after you, miss the trash can PICK IT UP, or you cause trash PICK IT UP. If you had to clean the bathroom imagine how frustrated you would be having to pick up after people just because they were too lazy to pick up their own trash.
last pet peeve I’ll touch on, people who look you right in the eye you acknowledge them but they do not return the courtesy back to you. Not only do they not acknowledge you they continue to look at you. Example: I am walking through the mall Person A locks eyes with me as I’m walking the opposite direction, I nod my head or smile. Person A continues to look at me and doesn’t acknowledge the head nod or the smile. This frustrates me to no end. I have seriously, in the middle of the mall for example, proceeded to start waving uncontrollably or dancing while staring at them back
People making pimento cheese or deviled eggs in your general vicinity didn’t make the cut?
Oh, there will be a volume 2, perhaps with specific call outs.
hahahahahahahahahha
