“Leftback” in STORES TODAY!

The Mixtape Monster’s favorite group, Little Brother, is releasing their last album “Leftback” today. Please go get that, and support real hip hop. Don’t download it. Don’t cop a dub from a friend. Get your ass to the store, or on iTunes and purchase it to support realness. You can find the trailer to the first single “Curtain Call” (produced by Khrysis) above, the full video to come soon.

I can’t stress this enough. BUY THAT.

So sad to see Little Brother disband, but when I think about the albums they provided me with, I can’t be mad at them. When I think about the numerous (10 or more) shows I have seen them at, I can’t be mad at them. All I can do is take this new album, and bump it like I bumped all the other ones. All I can do is take this album, and try to hip at least one more person to their music. Try to make them one more fan, who will make them one more fan, and so on.

For a guy that pumps the local North Carolina scene as hard as I do, and for a guy that is so important too, these guys are the best. Top notch. Number one. Numero Uno. Ain’t nobody fuckin with them. But more importantly, even if they weren’t from NC, they would still be some of my favorites to ever do it. Any genre, any generation.

We may be seeing the last of them together for a while, but Pooh and Tay will still be doing it, and doing it big on their own. I’ll always support that, them, and anything they are a part of, but it’s said to hear this is the last LB joint. Applaud them for their efforts and cop it. Then go cop any of the other releases that you don’t have. Don’t be a lame.

Hustlemill.com presents Big Hop & H2OKZ – LOCAL CELEBRITY STATUS
Coming from two entirely different backgrounds, creating LOCAL CELEBRITY STATUS wasn’t always as smooth as it  sounds now pulsating out of the speakers. “We went through a lot of beats, and recorded a lot of songs, and I’m still not sure we found the exact sound we are looking for,” says Big Hop.

However, what came out of the songs they recorded was a melting pot of styles and tempos, & moods and voices. The spirit stays high during the mixtape, & it is promised that it is project that you can listen to, and enjoy, all the way through.

Production on LOCAL CELEBRITY STATUS comes from Mr. Jay(Carolinabeats.com/Southern Smoke), StretchKnockS, Ill-It Beatz, Grayven, L’Orange Productions, Reef Ali, Joe Ca$h, & more. Guest appearances include Trigga, Mic L!VE, & Lady J.

No matter what sub-genre of hip hop/rap music you prefer, you are guaranteed to come away from listening to LOCAL CELEBRITY STATUS with at least one new favorite song.

Sponsoring this 20-track gem is Hustlemill.com, home to the latest hip hop news, artist interviews, and music videos that you can find on the internet. The Hustle Mill iPhone App is now available in the Apple Store now for FREE download. If you are an artist in North Carolina or beyond, you need that ASAP! Also, be sure to look out for HustleMill TV coming soon.
