Another Randos edition of Where You At Wednesday this week. I randomly thought about all 3 of these people since last week at different times, and made a mental note to include them this week. Hopefully, you’ll like what you see.
John Randle
Being that The Monster is a Vikings fan, clearly John Randle was one of my favorite players growing up. The guy was a complete manaical beast. No other way to describe him. A 7 time Pro-Bowler, he is 5th in career sacks (he sacked Brett Favre more than any other QB, so perhaps his training regimen seen above works).
Randle currently lives in Medina, Minnesota with his wife and children and becomes eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year.
Summer Sanders
In my opinion, Summer Sanders was pretty much Erin Andrews before Erin Andrews was Erin Andrews. She’s the first hot sportscaster I remember. As a kid back in the day, who didn’t have the hots for Summer Sanders? I mean really, she has been a gold medal winner, a host of “NBA Inside Stuff,” a host of kids Nickelodeon show “Figure It Out,” and even appeared in “Jerry Maguire.” I hadn’t thought about her in years though, until we saw her this weekend in a Pac-10 Conference commercial (she went to Stanford).
Most recently, in 2006 she had a daughter, followed by a son in 2008. She is currently a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for the United States, and is rumored to be joining the upcoming 3rd season of “Celebrity Apprentice”. She also serves on the National Advisory Board for Positive Coaching Alliance AND is on the board for Nickelodeon GAS (which is just as prestigious in my opinion, haha).
Positive K
Heard Positive K’s 1992 hit “I Got A Man” (also above) randomly come up on my iTunes the other day, so that’s how he made the cut this week. Quiet since that 1992 album release, it appears he did release and album called “Back to the Old School” in 2008, but it didn’t achieve near the success level of the previous album. In 2006, he appeared on the dope “Where Are They Now (Remix)” by Nas. I couldn’t really find any information regarding the hiatus of 16 years, but if you YouTube him, you’ll find some random live performances here and there, so Positive K is still performing.
If I remember correctly, in what was then and still is quite impressive to me, MDup can rap this song from start to finish.
