Admittedly I found out about these guys late. I had seen “From Dusk Til Dawn” and seen them in it before, but I just assumed they were a band for the movie only I guess. After re-viewing that movie and Shazamming one of the songs on a whim, I was lead to their discography, etc. I’ve been purchasing songs left and right and will probably cop one of their CDs. I like how these guys (and girl, in the case of this vid) rock.

Five For Friday – Ty Lawson

In his NBA debut a few nights ago, Lawson went for 17 in 26 minutes. Last night he went for 7 points. Both pretty good showings, and both victories for Denver. I think by the end of the season, he will be stealing most of Anthony Carter’s minutes. Congrats to Ty so far and good luck in the future. This week’s Five For Friday features Ty Lawson. FLYP’T – Dope New iPhone Music App Coming Out Soon

First off, I wanna give props due where props is certainly due. The homies over at TGLR put me onto this ish like last week, but this morning I had some info and a press release in the Monster’s mailbox, so we’re going to give it a post as well, because this new app looks ill. Basically, Flyp’t will allow people to customize and remix their music, by adding dope effects to songs or triggering lyrical phrases over instrumentals like you are scratching it up in the club. All phrases also have a FX ability, phrases will have the ability to be screwed(slowed down), rolled(sped up and repeated), muffled( to create a club effect) and spun back(reverse effect on the phrase). Users will be able to trigger these phrases over the instrumental of the song and be able to save them in real time while also allowing you to play its regular version, all for only $2.99 for the app and $.99 per song through in-app purchasing.

FLYP’T has now made music fun again with this application. Offering songs from all catalogs FLYP’T becomes a platform and not just a “one off’ artist app. November 3^rd is the date to mark your calendars.

Liverpool beats Man U (10-25-09)

Futbol correspondent Will The Thrill checks in with this sick vid of Liverpool beating Man U. That first goal is pretty dirty. Here’s what The Thrill had to say:

So the reason this post is up is because it is kind of the female version of the frat boys from last week. Horrible dance routine, but this time a horrible song. I thought maybe your vote would be swayed by ladies in nightwear.

The Monster’s Verdict: Clowns….until that underlying love for one another that they are so close to displaying turns into a full out makeout session. Then I may reconsider.

Ridiculous Japanese Game Show

Just when you thought Japanese game shows couldn’t get any more ridiculous. These ladies have to get to the center of the ice block fastest. Most choose the “oral sex” technique, while others even shove it down their bikini bottoms.
