Had this in the ol’ inbox today and thought it was pretty dope. Haji P is outta Wilmington, NC , so you know the Monster blog gonna help him represent. I don’t think I can sum up this track any better than the email, so here’s an excerpt:

North Carolina rapper, Haji P, narrates his venture to becoming a resident of Californias Bay area with his new track, “The Fresh Prints.” Actually, its not really a new new track. Its just a cover of the classic theme to Americas favorite sitcom, “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.” Has this been done before? Sure it has! Is it another rappers shameless attempt at weasling his way into fleeting notoriety? Of course it is! But, its extremely clever and fun to listen to, something we think the originator of this song would be proud of.

I love peeping the Little League World Series man. Shit is awesome. This kid, who gets extra baller points for rocking the number 22, makes a pretty sick diving grab.

KOOLEY TRACK + Concert Info!

The Monster’s favorite locals are at it again with a track for DL here on the Monster Blog. This track “Can’t Go Wrong,” is featured on a new local NC music compilation called “Hear Here” developed by Flying Tiger Sound Studios, WKNC, and Terpsikhore Records.

Kooley is also doing a concert this weekend at The Pour House in Raleigh with another Monster Blog favorite, Tanya Morgan. The show is going to be out of control. The Mixtape Monster and Big Soda will be in attendance….will you?
