Sick Ty Lawson Mix

Lawson!! So glad he came back, I think it will really benefit him. He could really have a super season this year.

Think about how great Lawson has been for the Heels these past two years. Got me thinking of how he compared to Raymond Felton in Ray’s first two years. Not as close as you would expect, despite Lawson arguably having a more successful team (2 ACC Championships, and 1 Final Four).

PPG:     Lawson: 11.5         Felton: 12.2

APG:     Lawson: 5.4           Felton: 6.9

RPG:     Lawson: 2.8           Felton: 4.1

SPG:     Lawson: 1.9           Felton: 1.9

TO:      Lawson: 1.85          Felton: 3.55

Looks like Felton turned the ball over almost twice as much as Lawson in his first two seasons, but led Lawson in every other category as well. Pretty interesting, I thought.

The real comparisons can come if Lawson leads us to a title this year, just as Felton did in his junior year.

PPG: 8.0

APG: 7.15

RPG: 3.15

SPG: 1.65

TO:  3.35

Five For Friday – August 29, 2008

Got a REALLY good Five For Friday this week, no jokin’.

1. “One Less Pretty Face” – Pimpasaurus – Had to check out this band just based on their name. They got a fair amount of songs on their RN page, and I listened to a couple of them. This one was my favorite of the 3 I listened too. Kind of repetitive, but I’m really digging the bassline and the gritty sound. Sounds like this could have been on vinyl at one point.

2. “And They Call Her Miss Leading” – Thrifters – I’m a sucker for a play on words in your song title. That will almost always get a listen out of me. A pleasant surprise here. I really like this band after peeping their songs.

3. “There You Go” – RetroKid – A hot hip hop jam about a lovely lady. You won’t hear the “bitches and hoes” in this song, as it takes it back a bit in style (hence his name I’m guessing). But this kid is apparently young according to his RN profile (only 18) and does music for fun, not a job. Got some promise in my opinion.

4. “City of Angels” – PussySisster – FOR MY MAN SLIZ! Everyone will enjoy this, but I picked it for Sliz for a couple of reasons. For one, it talks about the City of Angels, home of Sliz. For two, it’s like 80’s Glam Rock, which we all know is Sliz’s favorite type of music. And for third, they are called PussySisster, I mean, come on, how can you NOT give that a listen?!

5. “Do Your Dance And Holla” – Chris Buckner – Grimey club ish out of the ATL. I picture Big Soda in the STL clubs doing THE BULL to this shit.
